At Windmill, we are people first, a big family and not employees, so we decided not to have an HR team. Is it marketing? Just a new and more appealing way of naming job roles? No, it is not. It is much more than that — it is who we are and who we want to be.
We are, first and foremost, a group of people with different backgrounds, histories, personalities, and cultures. We are aiming to make a difference in our lives and in the lives of those around us. We aim to spend our time enjoying what we are doing, and we strive to be the best versions of ourselves everyday, constantly growing and learning from any mistakes that happen along the way. This is Windmill: it is people. Without our people, Windmill will not exist; but thanks to our people, Windmill is constantly growing, evolving, improving, succeeding, and having fun.
We do not consider ourselves to be employees or human capital, but rather human beings and partners in each others’ journeys. We each bring unique gifts and talents that make Windmill a better place.
That is how we see ourselves and how we’ve decided to be.
Being a part of Windmill means belonging to our family and sharing your individual journey with us. We do not need to be managed or manage others. As human beings, we deserve to be cared for work toward a meaningful and fulfilling career. That is where the idea for our People Care team is born.

Rather than processes and goals, we’re focused on mindset and intention. It’s all about valuing the people around us, learning from them, and helping them grow. We encourage cooperation, relationships built on trust, transparent feedback, open conversations, and new experiences that foster growth. We support individual development as well as a healthy work-life balance.
In our day-to-day responsibilities, we ensure a comfortable work environment, provide IT supplies and support, and handle most traditional HR functions. We make sure our colleagues have all the support they need so they can focus on delighting our customers.
